Recently, I did a survey of autistic children and was very upset by the responses. The frustrating issue here is the disconnect between how autistic children feel, and how professionals think they feel.
I made a rap video out of the survey responses so that professionals know how autistic children feel and how important it is that things change. You can watch the video here:
The important thing to note here is that autism isn’t the problem.
This a message to the people who judge, mistreat, and misunderstand autistic people so that they understand the impact their attitudes and actions have on autistic kids. The more understanding and accepting of difference society becomes, the easier it will be for those who are different to thrive and be happy.
