Poetry: Assessment

Question

After

Question

Fired off her mouth.

Missiles

Hurled at my intellect.

None good enough

To breach my brain.

Alas, my voice fired back

Blank

After

Impotent blank.

Thus losing the battle for my spirit.

Imprisoned in defeat.

Locked away in hopelessness.

But despair mothers resilience.

Letter by pointed letter

I dug my escape tunnel.

Leaping triumphantly

Towards light.

The battle may have been lost.

Not the war.

  1. Absolutely brilliant poem that captures the assessment system that fails to comprehend or analyze the intellect of an intense brain but unable to talk like a regular person.

Very sharp lines depicting the way the questions that were bombarded supposedly to test the intellect…… 👍👍👍

Frankly I have become speechless reading these lines….. how superbly these lines narrated the incapability of the questions to match the intellectual ability, while to answer, inability to speak…..!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏
